Born in Jay, Florida, he was the son of Roy and Connie Sanders. When he was young, his family moved to Pensacola. He attended Tate High School and graduated in 1964. He honorably served in the United States Army in the 68th Maintenance Battalion and was in the Vietnam War from 1966-1967. He worked in Maintenance for the remainder of his career until his retirement in 2011 after 43 and ¾ years.
He was the best father to his three kids. He made sure we were all taken care of no matter what, even until the end. He was an avid fisherman. He loved to spend the day on the river fly fishing. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. His most favorite times were laying on the living room floor playing with all his babies. He was a devoted son, who took care of his mother for many years before her passing in 2014.
He is survived by his 3 children – Rechel Sanders, Brian Sanders, and Katelyn (Michael) Martorana. 11 Grandchildren – Tristan (Brittany), Zach, Ashlyn, Raylen, Drayden, Jakob, Brody, Piper, Remi, Daisy, and Lily. 4 Great-Grandchildren – Brooklyn, Baileigh, Kaylila, and Bentlee, Brother – Donald (Jayne) Sanders, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
