She was born in Port Arthur, Texas, July 27th, 1965 to Robert Lopez, Sr. and Melba Pepper Lopez.
Lori graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur. Lori received a Certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant and completed Security Guard training with the State of Texas Department of Corrections.
Lori moved from Texas with her late Husband Jeffrey DiBacco in the 80’s to St. Petersburg, FL where they settled in and made a life together, gave birth to their daughter, Shani in 1985, and enjoyed the beaches and shared the love of music. They later divorced but remained friends until his death. Lori never married again. Lori worked as a Deli Manager for Kash N Karry Groceries for many years and Publix Grocery Stores in St. Petersburg and Pensacola. She also worked as the Office Manager at R&L enterprises in Seminole, FL and as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Pacifica Senior Living in Clearwater, FL.
Although Lori was not a member of a specific church in FL, she had a deep faith and loved Jesus. She always mounted a Cross on her wall in her bedroom to remind her Jesus gave his life for our sins.
Lori had an undying love of her Grandchildren, in her heart their wellbeing was her driving force. Masaunta Washington, Finessa, Jakoby, Aiden and Miracle Higgins.
Those left to cherish her memory are: her daughter Shani Kimberlee DiBacco, her 5 children, mentioned above, all from Fort Walton Beach, FL, father Robert Lopez, Sr., loving wife Sue, Port Arthur Texas and mother Melba Pepper, brother Robert Lopez, Jr., wife Mariebelle and niece Briana, half-sister Amanda Tibodeaux, step brother Aaron Bevil and wife Mary, several aunts, uncles and cousins, and a very special friend Mandy Becker of Seminole, FL
Lori is preceded in death by her half-sister, Sharon Sistrunk, Grandparents, Charley and Maria Lopez, Uncle Felipe Lopez and Cousin Patti Gil Lopez.
A celebration of life will be conducted in Port Arthur ,Texas and Madeira Beach, Florida at a later date and will be posted for all interested in attending.
May Lori Rest in Peace at the hands of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost for ever and ever, Amen
