Lucille Hubbard Chastang

Lucille Chastang, 91, of Pensacola Florida went peacefully to be with the Lord December 29, 2012. She was born March 14, 1921 in Bay Minette, Alabama to the late Orrie C. Hubbard and Lillian Thomas Hubbard.

As a young lady during WWII, Lucille worked for the Draft Board and the Alabama Dry Docks and Shipbuilding Company. She also worked for the office of the late Judge Telfair Mashburn in Bay Minette, Alabama. She married Pelham Chastang in 1942. She enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her friends and family. Lucille was a homemaker and a loving and giving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Lucille is survived by her children Carolyn Schmitz, Sylvia Davis and Douglas Chastang of Pensacola Fl, her brothers Ernest Hubbard of Ft. Worth Tx, and Albert Hubbard of Cedar Rapids Ia, her sisters Edna Griffin of Mobile Al, Melba Bonds of Mobile Al, Madge Anderson of Bay Minette Al, Hazel Bracewell of Destin Fl, Jeannie Garner of Bay Minette Al, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother Donald Hubbard.

Funeral services will be at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, 1985 West Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, FL, on Saturday January 5, 2013. The family will receive friends at 10:00 and funeral services will begin at 11:00.
