He leaves his wife of 55 years, Belen; his daughter Bernardita Druhan (Barry), his son Ludovic Marcel Lasquety (Cherie); and his 5 grandchildren, Connor and Elise Druhan, and Dominic, Braeden, and Cameron Lasquety.
Known to his friends endearingly as “Doving”, he was born and raised in Quezon City, Philippines, the son of Pedro and Cristeta Lasquety. He has been a resident of Pensacola since 1978.
In his early years, Dr. Lasquety grew up with his 10 siblings in Quezon City. He graduated from Far Eastern University in Manila. In 1966 he and his family emigrated to the United States, living first in New York where he completed his medical training at the University of the State of New York in 1968. He joined the U.S. Navy and was active from 1975 to 1981. He retired from the Navy as a Lieutenant Commander and worked for the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Pensacola as a Doctor of Internal Medicine and Cardiology until he retired in 1992.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM Friday, September 21, 2018 at St. John the Evangelist Church in Pensacola. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 6PM to 9PM at the church. Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park on Scenic Highway.
