Mack L. Morris Sr., 99, of Pace, Florida, went to his Heavenly home on June 19, 2026. Born October 23, 1926, Mack will be remembered for a life marked by steady devotion, quiet strength, and unwavering faith.
Mack was proud of his service in the Army Air Corps, serving during WWII. He continued to carry that sense of duty and commitment throughout his years. He soon earned his Associates Degree at Pensacola Jr. College before beginning a career in Accounting—work that suited his disciplined nature and attention to detail.
Mack had a devoted career in finance. Notably, Mack worked for Gulf Coast Mercantile as an accountant for the majority of his career, among other companies he spent working for. Through his career, he built a life defined by consistency and discipline.
Away from work, Mack’s everyday joys reflected the same steady spirit. A huge Alabama football fan, he was often seen wearing a hat or shirt in support of his favorite team. He was also an avid gardener, tending a large plush garden and always growing the vegetables that were in season. He found particular pleasure in bringing those harvests to the table—enjoying cooking fresh vegetables for his family, while always making room for dessert.
Mack was also an avid and very disciplined walker. He walked just about every day after he came home from work, as one of the first things he did. That daily practice kept him active and healthy throughout his life, and could arguably be one of the reasons he was so close to his 100th birthday.
Mack is preceded in passing by his parents, Thad and Lovie Morris; and all nine of his brothers and sisters. Mack was the last of ten children. He is survived by his three children: Mack (Heloisa) Morris Jr, Larry (Sara) Morris and Tony (Colleen) Morris; twelve grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church, 4187 US-90, Pace, FL 32571, on June 25, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A Funeral Service will follow at 4:00 pm.
Pallbearers for Mack’s service will be: James Morris Jr., John Alexander Morris, William Morris, Larry Morris Jr., Matthew Morris and Phillip Morris.
