Marian Simpson Pike was born on April 5, 1934 in Birmingham, AL. Mrs. Pike went home to be with the Lord on September 30, 2013. She is predeceased by her husband, James H. Pike, Jr., her parents and two sisters, Billie Love and Edith Garrison. Marian is survived by one sister-in-law Jimmie Pike and several nieces and nephews.
She moved to Pensacola with her husband in 1953. Marian graduated from Pensacola Adult High School and continued her studies at Pensacola Jr College in order to become a Court Reporter serving in Escambia County for more than 20 years.
Marian Pike was a member of First Christian Church in Pensacola where she served faithfully for more than 25 years until failing health necessitated a move to Dothan, AL seven years ago.
The funeral service was held at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at noon, with visitation one hour prior. A reception was held at the funeral home after the service. Burial was folllowed at Bayview Memorial Park. Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.
