Your Mom was an awesome lady, very strong and opinionated, all the while having a sincere and kind heart. I will forever remember our "family" vacation together to Lake Worth,and South Florida.  It was my first and last childhood vacation and I had a ball!  I pray her memories will brighten your days and give you comfort in a life well-lived.  With sincere fondness,  Debbie

Andrea, I am so sorry to hear about your mom's passing.  She was always wonderful to me and a good friend to our family.  I also enjoyed reading her letters in the newspaper and she will surely be missed by many in Pensacola, even those who only knew her through her letters.  It takes a strong person to risk sharing their opinions with the world and your mom surely was that.

Our hearts go out to you in the loss of your mother. She was a dear friend to our family for so many years, that I can't even count. My parents had many wonderful times with your parents. They had a special kind of friendship that not many people ever find. Theirs have been true caring and staying connected even though they lived far apart. Your Mom was always interested in what was going on in the world, especially in her local world; writing letters to the editor, etc. She was never a lazy person. She took care of her house and yard as long as she could; still out pulling weeds in her 90's. She always had the nicest yard on the block. She had a green thumb too. She could grow just about anything and loved sharing her plants with others. She loved to talk and visit with friends. She loved her water exercises and the friends she had there. She was good at giving us medical advice when we were kids. We will miss her e-mails, and her showing us around her yard at all her beautiful plants when we would stop by. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this hard time. You have been good to come and stay with her and make it possible that she spend her last days in her own home. I am sure she was comforted in knowing that you and your husband were with her at the end of her earthly life. Now we can look forward to seeing her in Heaven. I am sure she and Mary Zajicek and your Dad are having a great reunion. Love from the Zajicek family

Andrea, your Mother inspired me through her zest for life! She exemplified this philosophy through her active life style, socially, mentally, and physically which proved "Age" should not be a deterrent to achieve and live a "Quality of Life"! We can all learn from Mrs. Wallo!

I am so sorry for your loss.  I remember Marie Wallo well.  She was quite a woman!  While working for the late Ben T Gregory, MD, I had many dealings with her.

She was a beautiful person,she was my neighbor and a good friend she will truly be missed and never forgotten.

I always respected and admired Mrs. Wallo.  She was such an interesting person to talk to and visit.  She always welcomed me into her home and made me feel like a member of the family.  She was like a second mother to me, and I will always remember her with fond memories.
