

She was born in Bremen, Alabama (Cullman County Alabama) on November 20, 1934 to Blan and Pearl Sandlin.
Marilyn worked in sales and retail before retiring and moving to Homestead Village in Fairhope, Alabama. She enjoyed being outside working in her flowers, walking, sweeping (IYKYK), playing bingo, worshipping with her church family at First Baptist Church of Fairhope and spending quality time with her family and friends, especially her Homestead family that she dearly loved.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Blan and Pearl Sandlin, husband, Ralph Wiggins, stepson, Ralph Wiggins, Jr, stepdaughter, Becky Cohen, Brother, Leland Sandlin and sister, Ellen Rose McDowell.
Survivors include her daughter, Rhona Reid, and sibling Bennie Sandlin. Nieces, Belinda Garner (Rodger), Susan Smith (Scott) and Mary Farmer (Steve), and stepson, Curtis Wiggins (Kat). Her special girls, Becky Ryland, Lissa Falkner, Eleanor Reeves and Beth Johnston. Also, her longtime friends whom she shared many wonderful memories with Mary Jo Vinson (Ed), Peggy Driskell, Pauline Simmons and Madie Newman.
Her family wants to thank Gina Hall and her staff with Beyond Care and Ainsley, Tonia, Kenya, CJ and Amy at Aveanna Hospice for their care and compassion.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 with graveside service at 10:30 am at Bayview Fisher-Pou Funeral home in Pensacola, Florida.
