Marjorie Nell WardMarjorie Nell Ward, 73, of Pensacola, Florida passed away Monday December 28, 2015. Nell was born in Florala, Alabama October 21, 1942 and graduated from Covington County High School in 1961. After graduation Nell moved to Pensacola and on December 6, 1963 she married her loving husband of 46 years, Robert Earl Ward. Nell was a longtime faithful member of Community Baptist Church in Pensacola and 30+ year employee of the Pensacola Gayfers and Dillard's. Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ward; parents, J.C. and Rosa Powell; brother, Douglas Powell. Survivors include two sons, David Ward of Pensacola, Robert Jeff Ward (Mandi) of Satsuma Alabama, two grandchildren, Tanner Jeffery Ward and Cameron Marie Ward of Satsuma, Alabama; sister, Naomi Knox, of Andalusia Alabama; sister, Pauline Ray of Paxton, Florida; brother, Jim Powell (Jodi) of Paxton, Florida and many special nieces and nephews. At Nell's' request, closed casket visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 2nd, 2016 at Eastern Gate Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens in Pensacola, Florida. Funeral service to immediately follow at 11 a.m.
