She was born in Columbus, GA, daughter of Dewitt McLendon and Evelyn Wallace McLendon. Known by grandchildren as Pawpaw and Bannaw. Nell dedicated her life to her children, and her heart was her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Eddie Gordon (Rhonda), Greg Gordon, and Gay Wallace, her seven grandchildren and her eleven great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her father Dewitt McLendon, her mother Evelyn Wallace McLendon, and her brother Wallace (Wally) McLendon.
A visitation will be held at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, 1985 West Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, FL 325349377, US, on August 19, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A committal service will take place at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens, 1985 West Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, FL 325349377, US, on August 19, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
