Born on May 23, 1939, in Pensacola, she was the daughter of Joseph B. and Ora B. (O’Gwynn) Lewis.
Martha was a devoted member of Open Door Baptist Church. She found joy in cooking and cherished every moment spent with her family, especially her many grandchildren.
She is survived by her four sons and their wives: Dennis and Diana Hedden, Joseph and Michele Hedden, Timothy and Angie Hedden, and Scott and Angel Hedden. Martha also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hedden, her two sisters: Dean and Lois, and four brothers: James, Charles, Henry, and Terry.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, located at 1985 West Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, FL 32534. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 AM at the same location.
