Marvelle Virginia Booker 1928-2019
Marvelle Virginia Booker went home to be with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ on January 1st, 2019. She was born on April 15, 1928 in Raybun, Alabama. She moved to Jay, Florida and married James C. Booker in 1945. She moved to Cantonment, Florida in 1946. She worked her entire life as a wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed crafts and sewing. She was a charter member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Booker, parents Clyde and Allie Parker; two brothers: Ray and Henry Parker and two sisters: Mildred Bryars and Janice Neal.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Allen and husband Bill; son James Earl Booker and wife, Phyllis; four grandchildren: David Allen (Kellie), Tammy Taggart (Leroy), Joyce Marshall (Marvin), and James Allen; 10 great-grandchildren, 5 great, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, 1985 Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, Florida, immediately followed by a service, with Reverend Alan Harp officiating.
The family would like to express our deepest gratitude to Bay Minette Community Hospice and Amedisys Home Health Care of Bay Minette, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations be made to these organizations.
Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
