1959 – 2012
Mary B. Hartshorn, 53, of Pace passed away on November 15, 2012 after a courageous battle against colon cancer. She was born in Wichita Falls, Texas and raised in Pensacola.
She is survived by her husband of 12 ½ years, Bradley T. Hartshorn and step-daughter, Mary Mitchell Hartshorn; sisters, Johnnia Lamb of Bay St. Louis, MS and Allison Ladner of Diamondhead, MS; mother and step-father, Jean and Tom Archer of Gulf Breeze; Uncle Reggie and Aunt Maureen of Louisiana and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Owen Bourne of Diamondhead, Mississippi.
Mary was an avid runner and competed in many 5Ks, 10Ks, the Pensacola Double Bridge Run, Bear Lake Trail Challenge Run and two half-marathon road races. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Studies from the University of West Florida and was a Project Manager for the United States Army Corps of Engineers Regulatory Office in Pensacola.
A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with Pastor Doug Holmes of Christian Life Church officiating.
Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
