Mattie M. Thomas1945-2014Mattie M. Thomas, 69, of Seabrook, TX, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, October 13, 2014. She was born September 11, 1945 in Milton, FL to the late Richard Perdue and Orvelle Edddings Perdue.Mattie was a wonderful wife and mother. She was of the Holiness faith. She loved her family, especially her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a gifted singer of gospel, country and western music and had the voice of an angel when she sang. Mattie was a true woman of God and lived by the Word.Survivors include her beloved husband of 26 years, Murfey Thomas; her daughter, Cynthia (John) Keith of Crestview, FL; her sons, Charles Thompson and Danny Thompson, both of Pensacola, FL and Zebadiah Thomas of Pace, FL; her grandchildren, Maciah Jordon Thompson, Elijah Thompson, Durl Thompson, Richard Wolfe, Meghan Thompson, Alexis McGowen, April Williams and Christopher Spaar; 10 great grandchildren; her sister, Mary Ellen Turner of Pensacola, FL; her brothers, Richard (Penny) Perdue of Milton, FL and John (Louise) Perdue of Pace, FL; and several nieces, nephews and many friends.A Homegoing Celebration will be Friday, October 17, 2014 at 3 PM at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 PM until the service hour. Interment will follow in Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home.
