1974-2025
Michael Scott Traynom, 51, of Gulf Breeze died on his birthday, October 29, 2025.
He was born in Pensacola, Florida and was a lifelong resident of the Pensacola and Gulf Breeze area.
Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Otis and Joyce Traynom, Lou and Gabby Boyd; grandmother, Jimmie Mae Hamilton, and by his niece, Sylvia Hendrickson.
He is survived by his daughter, Camryn Rose Traynom; his parents, Jim (Stephanie) Traynom and Beth (Jack) Taylor; sisters, Jennifer Benz and Catie (TJ) Hendrickson; nephews, Jackson Benz and William Benz; and niece, Molly Benz.
Scott was a multitalented person, whether construction, or his lure making, he loved working with his hands. He was a great cook, and had a love of gardening, animals and music.
Scott was an avid sportsman. He lettered in football at Washington High School and played many years of men’s league and co-ed softball. He was a passionate Florida State and Pittsburg Steeler’s football fan. He loved deer hunting but most of all he loved fishing. Every kind of fishing. From casting a mullet net, to Pompano fishing from shore or offshore big game fishing with his “band.” Scott, his Dad, Mark, and Jason were the best bandmates, and they had many great years of making memories fishing.
Since 2006, his greatest love was his daughter, Camryn. She was the light of his life and watching her grow to become a smart, beautiful, talented young woman gave him immense pride. They shared the love of music and horses. He and Camryn often sang karaoke from the time she was very young and watching her run her horse through its paces was his ultimate joy.
Everyone that knew Scott knew how big his heart was, he will be missed by us all.
A Celebration of Scott's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
