March 4, 1936 – March 31, 2021
Mildred Rolfs Jordan, 85, passed away March 31, 2021, in Pensacola, Florida.
Mildred was born in Pensacola, Florida to John and Mildred Rodway Rolfs, Sr, on March 4, 1936. By all accounts she was quite a “tom boy” and spent much of her childhood helping her dad out at his garage or riding motorbikes and shooting marbles with her younger brother, John, Jr., and his friends. Mildred was a member of the first graduating class at Pensacola High School in 1954 and went to work at Fade Auto Parts where she would meet and fell in love with a ridiculously handsome young man, Carl F. Jordan, and they were married on September 11, 1958.
The young couple moved to south Florida for a season and there adopted two children, Richard and Regina. They moved back to Pensacola and several years later their third child, Robert, was born. Over the coming years their family grew to include four grandchildren, Savannah, William, Dylan, and PJ.
Mildred was an extremely active member of the community. She was heavily involved in the Escambia High School Band Booster and the Myrtle Grove Fire Department for many years. She loved being a part of something bigger than herself.
Mildred was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a beautiful person that spent most of her time doing for others. She loved being a mother and grandmother and tried to instill in all of us an eternal love for Christ, the ability to know right from wrong, and the desire to help those in need. Anyone who knew her knows she ran a tight ship. While she is now gone from this world and we will all miss her terribly, we can know with certainty that she is in Heaven with her Holy Father, and that, through Christ, we will see her again one day. Until then she will live on through those of us who were blessed enough to know her.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 6, 2021, 6-8pm, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, April 6, 2021 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with burial to follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.

I have many fond memories of Mildred Jordan. We shared grandchildren and visited a lot when they were young. She was an awesome Grandmother and sweet friend. She had so much energy and could cook, sew, decorate and was at home with building and repairing! She will be dearly missed by friends and family. Our loss is heavens gain 🙏✝️❤️

Robert, Mary, and PJ,
My heart aches for you all. Ms Millie was a wonderful soul and always had something to share. She would tell me jokes to make me laugh, or tell me stories of her younger days while I worked wrapping baskets at the office. She was always thoughtful as to what I may need to get the job done and sure didn’t mind putting in her opinion! That’s what I loved about her! She was a wonderful gal! She will be missed by many. She will be missed by me. Peace, love, and prayers for you all. B

Mildred was an amazing lady with a kind and gentle heart who would do anything for anyone ... But ..she did run a tight ship! One of my favorite sayings of hers that I will always remember.. “ Take what you get and don’t fuss a bit “.. In other words .. Be thankful and blessed for what you have !! She will def be missed here on earth .. but I know one day I’ll see her again !!
Love always and forever !!
