Mildred M. Williams, 82, resided in Pensacola for 54 years, went to be with OUR LORD October 7, 2011.
Some reading this may not recognize the name, but will recognize her picture. She worked downtown Pensacola for S.H. Kress and J.J. Newberry’s for 27 years where she retired, when shopping downtown was the only place to shop.
Mrs. Williams was a wonderful Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, and favored aunt to her nieces and nephews. She kept in touch with her husband’s people in Seneca, S.C. and they always looked Forward to her visits.
She was born in West Union, S.C. to Letha Barton Morgan and Marvin E. Morgan. She was preceded in Death by her parents, her husband Morris F. Williams, two sisters, Myrtle Irene Morgan and Estelle M. Phillips. Her two year old baby, Mikey, preceded her also.
She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, Danny Williams (wife Sandy) and Jesse Wayne Williams (wife June). One brother, Lewis A. Morgan (wife Beulah) and one sister Betty Ruth Morgan of West Union, S.C. She has six grandchildren, Maryah Williams, Danielle Williams, Tiffany Williams, Justin Williams, Richard and Suzanne Stall. She has 7 great grandchildren, Drake, Daysha, Brennen, Dionnah, Jesse Williams, and Bryan and Jessica Hardy. She will be Dearly missed by her 3 nieces and 2 nephews in South Carolina.
Funeral services will be Tuesday October 11, 2011 at 2 PM at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in the cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Condolences may be made at www.easterngatememorial.com.
