Myron Dale “Don” Teets Sr, 91, passed away on January 1, 2022, surrounded by his children. He was born in Onida, South Dakota and grew up in Salem, Oregon before beginning his 20 years of military service. Myron served 9 years in the United States Navy, where he met and married the love of his life, Clara while stationed at Pensacola NAS.
When he completed his enlistment with the Navy, Myron made the decision to join the United States Air Force. He then retired after 11 years of service as a Master Sergeant from Vandenberg AFB, California in May of 1968. He served on numerous vessels and military installations. Myron and Clara then made the move back to Pensacola to be with family.
There he worked at Cyanamid until 1989, when he officially retired from the workforce. Myron and Clara enjoyed retirement by traveling in their motorhome around the United States. Later in life he found love again with his current wife Marcia.
He was preceded in death by his wonderful wife Clara, and parents H.P. “Rusty” Teets, and Hazel Teets. He is survived by his children, Deborah Teets and Dale (Karen) Teets; Grandchildren, Christine (Chuck) Carpenter, April Johnson, and Kaitlin (Anthony) Frederickson; Wife, Marcia; stepchildren, Sheila Tonnessen and Mark (Laura) Avera. He had eight great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
