Myrtle went to be with the Lord just one month shy of her 98th birthday. She was greatly loved by her family and friends. She was born February 20th,1927 in Quincy, Florida, but was raised by her parent's, Monroe and Effie Josey, in Bainbridge, Georgia.
Myrtle is survived by her children, Comer B "Bo" Fowler Jr. (Marianne Fowler), James Michael Fowler (Judy Fowler), Glen Stephen Fowler (Sharon Carr), and her only daughter, Carla Denise Lowery (Mitchell Lowery); grandchildren, Christine Louise Powell (Tim Powell), Jennifer Marie Elliot (Clay Elliott), Steven Michael Pyron (Stephanie Pyron), Autumn Danielle Wright (Matt Wright), Angelina Celeste Floyd (Danny Floyd), James Michael Fowler Jr., Crystal Leanne Taylor (Scott Taylor), Alena Marie Nary (Jeffrey Shealy), Ryan Gabriel Fowler (Samantha Fowler), Brittney Ashton Leber (Bryan Leber), and Mason Mitchell Lowery (Sidney Pierson). In addition, there are 21 great grandchildren, and 17 great-great grandchildren. Myrtle has two surviving siblings, Mary Inlow, and Rust Josey of Bainbridge, Georgia.
Myrtle was a retired Bookkeeper and Secretary at Fowler Electric which was owned by her and her husband of 75 years, Comer B Fowler Sr. (Comer passed away on September 12th, 2022). Myrtle had many hobbies. She loved gardening, making ceramics, and sewing. She was an excellent seamstress, and she could make anything when it came to sewing. She was also an excellent cook, and she could make the best fried chicken. Above all she was a Christian Lady, a devoted wife and mother. She will be greatly missed by her children and grandchildren.
A visitation will start at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2pm. A committal service will follow outside at the Bayview Memorial Park, 3351 Scenic Hwy, Pensacola, Florida.
