Nancy Lee Simpson Kelley

1949 – 2011

Nancy Lee Kelley, 62, of Pensacola went to be with the Lord, Jesus Christ, Thursday, January 05, 2012, surrounded by her family.

Nancy was born June 25, 1949 in Asheville, North Carolina. She was a registered nursed and retired from Sacred Heart Hospital after over 20 years of service. Nancy was a faithful servant of the Lord and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cantonment. Nancy’s joy was being with her family and spending time with her “Peanut”.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Mama and Daddy Minor and her parents, James Simpson and Jimmie Lee Deckard.

Nancy survived by her husband, Donnie Kelley of Pensacola; daughters, Lisa Adams and Lauren Hawley (Mark) all of Pensacola; stepdaughter, Kim Johns, her husband Kenny and their children, Katina and Kelley; brother, David Simpson (Elva) of Stapleton, AL; sister, Linda Smith of Richardson, TX; granddaughter, Kiera Adams; great granddaughter, Kylah “Peanut” Adams; niece and nephew, Melissa Bass and Brandon Simpson of Stapleton, AL and Angie Smith of Richardson, TX; great nieces and nephews, Emma, Noah, Nate, Beckett, Miranda and Madison.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 09, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Cantonment with Brother John Smith officiating.

Entombment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 08, 2012 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Covenant Hospice, Dr. Sunnenberg and St. Catherine's at Sacred Heart Hospital.
