~A Truly Kind and Wonderful Woman~

Nellie H. Ball, beloved wife of Aubrey Ball, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Tuesday, June 17, 2014 with her family by her side. Born in Prattville, Alabama on October 8, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Lee Ray Liles and Elsie Leon Russ.

After completing her educational years she married the love of her life Aubrey Ball. She was a devoted wife and mother with a gracious and caring personality.

Besides her family responsibilities Mrs. Ball had time for her three favorite hobbies: reading, gardening, and bird-watching. She will also be remembered for her amazing pastries and fishing skills.

Mrs. Ball was preceded in death by her son Mr. Steven Ball.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 60 years, Aubrey Ball, son Mr. Michael Ball (Shannon L. Ball), and grandchildren Ms. Jen-Beth Ball and Mr. Logan Ball. In addition she is survived by a large extended family and the dear St. Michael's community.

Nellie was a truly wonderful, kind and loving woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her care, kindness and compassion will always endure. Visitation will be held from 12:30 PM until 1:30 pm with services begining at 1:30 at Eastern Gate Funeral Home. The burial will follow at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens
