Born on October 11, 1931, in Leadwood, Missouri, she was the daughter of Marie and William Wells.
After high school, she served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. Following her service in the Marines, she was employed at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola. She was awarded the NAS Woman of the Year in 1985. Mrs. Davis-Holland retired after 30 years, ending her career as a Management Analyst in the Supply Department.
She was an active member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Being a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan and she loved watching all types of sports. Bridge was one of her favorite pastimes as well as Game Day at Hillcrest.
She was a kind grandmother and beautiful lady. She loved her family. She will always be remembered for her style, boldness, and poise.
Mrs. Davis-Holland is survived by her children, Debbie Davis and Odis Davis II; her grandchildren, Jonathan Gulsby, Jennifer Davis, Kari Williams, Kyle Williams; and her step-children, Randall Holland, Diana Holland, Ron Holland, and Christine Holland; her step-grandchildren, Courtney Miller, Nicole Holland-Grice, Isabel Holland, and Ron David Holland; and her step-great-grandchildren, Savannah Miller, Keaton Miller, Kaleb Holland-Grice, and Kolby Holland-Grice. She was preceded in death by Randall Holland and Odis Davis.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 18, at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 800 East 9 Mile Road, Pensacola. The visitation will be held from 10:30 to the time of the service with internment at the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Davis-Holland requested that donations be made to the Hillcrest Baptist Church Building Fund.
