

Norma Lillian Pierce passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024, in Pensacola, Florida. She was born on August 20, 1926, to loving parents George and Gertrude Frost in South Berwick, Maine. Her family later moved to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, where she spent her early years and met the love of her life, John Pierce.
Norma and John were married on June 15, 1947, in Aurora, Colorado. They were married for 59 years, embarking on a journey filled with love and adventure. Their life together was guided by John’s service in the Marine Corps, which took them to North Carolina and Maryland before they eventually settled in Pensacola, Florida. There, they built their forever home and raised their family.
Norma was an avid bingo player who cherished her time at the American Legion and Fleet Reserve, forming lasting friendships along the way. She was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, and a proud grandmother, always placing her family at the center of her heart. Her kindness, unwavering love, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Norma was predeceased by her father, George P. Frost Sr.; her mother, Gertrude Frost Weston; her sister, Sandra Berounski; her brother, George P. Frost Jr.; and her beloved husband, John Pierce. She is survived by her two children, John Pierce (Teresa) and Carol Artiola; four grandchildren, David Pierce (Shannon), Brandon Pierce (Shannon), Hayley Artiola, and Michael Artiola; and six great-grandchildren, including Alyssa Scruggs (Colby), Tyler Pierce, Sebastian Artiola, Violet Pierce, Sophia Artiola, and Ellis Artiola, all of whom brought endless joy to her life.
A visitation for Norma will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 N New Warrington Road, Pensacola, FL 32506. A funeral service will follow at the same location from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. A committal service will take place at 2:00 PM at Barrancas National Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Road, Pensacola, FL 32508.
Norma’s legacy of love, family, and cherished memories will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
