December 3, 2019. She was born in Middletown, Connecticut to Tom and Pearl Stickney.
She Graduated from Middletown High School in 1952.
She was a longtime resident of Pensacola, raising 3 children and spending many years with the local Girl Scout and Boy Scout organizations as a leader and supporter. She did many things, from driving a school bus, homeday care, graduating from George Stone Technical College, working for Coordinated Transportation of Pensacola and always there lending a hand or opening her home to anyone in need.
Norma was an avid crafter whose hands were rarely still, she was into sewing, crocheting, doll making, doing beautiful embroidery pieces and you could always find her working on a puzzle or with the latest mystery novel in her hand.
She has been a member of Gateway Baptist Church for over 30 years and has always been proud of her church families support and care throughout the years.
Survivors include her loving children Richard (Pat) McGrath, and Pearl (Tim) Liverman; grandchildren Mickey Gail, Jamie (Will) Ricci, Cassandra McGrath, Erin McCormick and 4 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her late husband Jack Swanson, daughter Arlene Gail, and grand children Dawn Gail and Sean McCormick.
Her life was a living example of Ephesians 4:32, “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.” She was a loving and sweet lady who will be greatly missed.
A graveside service will be held at Pensacola Memorial Gardens, December 10,
2019 at 1:00 pm. The family request in lieu of flowers that donations be made to your favorite charity.
