He also leaves behind Grandchildren 8: Michelle Perkins in Heaven, Lance Hopping, Ryan Hales, Kelly Heidenreich, Shane Smith, Renee Shilstone, Andrew Whittington and Sarah Shaw. Great Grandchildren 15: Cassidy Perkins, Alissa Hopping, Nathan Hopping, Tommy Moriarity, Evan Moriarity, Emily Smith, John Alston Shilstone, Peyton Shilstone, Alex Whittington, Andrea Whittington, Adrian Whittington, Kylie Shaw, Jaelynn Shaw, Aubrianna Shaw and Braeden Shaw. Olin proudly served 31 years with distinction in the United States Air Force and retired as a Senior Master Sergeant. He was a veteran of 3 Wars: World War 2, Korean War and Vietnam War. World War 2 he was in New Guinea as a Medic where he told us he seen Japanese Zero Airplane fly overhead. The Korean War he also served as a Medic. During the Vietnam War he was First Sergeant of Clark Air Force Base, Philippines Hospitals. During the Vietnam War he served 3 years at Yokota Air Force Base, Japan assigned to the Medical Aero-Evac Squadron.
His most favorite hobby was his yard and garden in which he loved. He was so proud of his rose’s which he used to pick and bring in to show everyone. He also loved to go boating and fishing.
Olin loved family and will be truly be missed.
