Ovalee was born August 21, 1928 in Pikeville, Tennessee to Fred Smith and Lillie Raines Smith. She enjoyed reading the Bible and working in her yard. She loved the beach and going on boat rides.
Her daughter, Pamela Kay Sanford, preceded Ovalee in death.
She is survived by her son, William Gerald Minton and wife, Debra; daughters, Jean White and Kathy Nelson and husband, Thomas; sisters, Martha Grant and husband, Ellis and Melba Rice; six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, January 05, 2020 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. Entombment will be at Bayview Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Sunday.
