Pat Pagan, 66, passed away peacefully at his home in Pensacola, Fl surrounded by his family and friends on August 7, 2026
Pat was born March 20, 1960, and grew up in Lindenhurst, NY. After graduating high school, he was accepted into the University of South Alabama where he played division 1 baseball. He participated in many athletics including running marathons, softball, baseball, flag football, tennis and ultimately a passion for pickle ball. He received multiple All-American trophies for flag football and was even inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2011.
Pat also had a passion for helping people as evidenced by his career in nursing. He was a flight nurse with South Flight and an ER nurse at Providence Hospital in Mobile AL He went on to get his Masters in Nursing and became a Nurse Practitioner. He worked in cardiology at several hospitals in the Pensacola area over the years lastly at Pensacola Cardiology where he served up until his passing.
Pat was a lover of all things nature and taught his kids to love the stars by breaking out his telescope to look at things in more detail. He loved rock climbing, hiking, skiing, and boating among other things. His favorite places were in the Western United States ie Utah, Nevada and Arizona. Montana was always a place he wanted to go.
Most importantly Pat loved his family and friends. Everything he did was to try and keep them close whether it be by traveling or just having plenty of things available to do while they were around.
Pat was the life of the party and always wanted to have a good time. He even shared his Daniel Elementary school song with everyone whether they wanted to hear it or not.
His love of pickle ball was well known by everyone. So much so that the Lillian Recreational Park is naming the pickle ball courts after him “The Pat Pagan Pickleball Courts”
Pat is preceded in death by his parents and 3 of his siblings.
Survived by his wife Kathy Mitchell-Pagan, 4 brothers and 2 sisters and his children Abby Pagan (Haldane), Brett Pagan, Richard Mitchell, Courtney Mitchell, Emily Mitchell (Peck), Micah Pagan and Jase Pagan. Grandchildren Sinead Haldane, Beau Haldane, Nylah Peck and Colter Peck.

Visitation will be held at Liberty Church, 2221 S Blue Angel Pkwy, Pensacola, FL 32506, on August 13, 2026, at 10:00 am.
A Funeral Service will be held at Liberty Church, 2221 S Blue Angel Pkwy, Pensacola, FL 32506, on August 13, 2026, at 11:00 am.
Lunch will be provided after the service for family and friends.
