Peggy Merritt, 73, of Pensacola, Fl went to be with our Lord on Tuesday Oct 7, 2014. Peggy, daughter of Hillary "Mann" and Fanny White, was born on Nov. 26, 1940 in Atmore Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hillary "Mann" and Fanny White; brother, Jimmy White, and son-in-law Gene McEllhannon. Peggy is survived by W. B. "Bill" Merritt, her beloved husband of 54 years; their three children: Todd (Vicki) Merritt, Lisa McElhannon and Terri Merritt. Also, her sister Shirley (Dick) Spagnoli; and five grand children: Shane, Nikki, Christina, Misty, and Dylan.She also leaves behind eight great grand children and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Todd Merritt, Dylan Merritt, Craig Allen, Brandon James, James Atchinson and Tony Whitehead. Honorary pallbearers are Greg McGowan, Jeff Pruit and Danny Rubin. Visitation will be held at Eastern Gate Memorial on Thursday Oct. 9, 2014 between 5-7 pm. Services will be held the following morning, Friday Oct. 10, 2014 at 11:00 am. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed
