Randolph, affectionately known as Randy, passed away in Sacred Heart Hospital due to Acute Myeloid Leukemia which he was diagnosed with 3 weeks prior.
He was born to Lawrence and Delores Quan in Los Angeles, California where he grew up with his sister Sandy (Quan) Fore. As a child and young adult, he loved spending time with his dogs and playing music-and things never changed. He attended California State University, Los Angeles and received his Bachelor’s Degree from the Department of Music. Randy loved learning, challenging his mind and eventually advanced into the IT field as Software Engineer where he enjoyed a long career. He loved it so much that he came out of retirement to go back to the IT field.
In his mid-30s he met Tricia (Rose) Quan in Oklahoma City and they instantly fell in love. He gained a stepson, Shaun Rose, and within a year they grew their family with the addition of their daughter, Traci (Quan) Wilson. As a family they went to movies almost every Sunday and went to sporting events, whether professional or the kids’ swim meets and tennis tournaments. Randy was dependable, loyal, and quiet but was always the comedic relief. Randy also developed a passion for fishing and enjoyed being out on the water in his boat.
In addition to his wife Tricia and children Shaun and Traci, Randy is survived by his mother Delores, sister Sandy, Aunties Marie, Bev, Loraine and Uncle Mel. He was preceded in passing by his father, Lawrence.
The memorial service will be held on February 5, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel.
