

He grew up in Covina, California. He graduated from South Hill High School in 1969. His fondest memories were that of times with loved ones camping in the Yosemite National Park and the Summer of 1969, attending the legendary Woodstock Music & Art Fair at Max Yasgur’s dairy farm in Bethel, New York.
He was a veteran of the trucking industry. He had a passion for driving 18 wheelers across the United States and did so for 50 years. After retirement, he enjoyed watching NASCAR races, football and attending vintage car shows. He proudly and honorably served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam era.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Delbert Lee Gaddis & Dorothy Ann Heber.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Patricia Scarbrough Gaddis; stepsons, Kevin Chase and his wife Stephanie, Robert Daniel “Danny” Chase and his wife Cindy; grandson, Kristopher Chase and his wife Jessica; grandson, Seth Chase; granddaughter, Danielle Chase; three great-grandchildren. Sisters-in-law: Linda Nelson, Theresa (Howard) Crenshaw & Jamie (Bill) Kidwell.
A committal service will be held at 10:30 am Monday, December 15, 2025, at Barrancas National Cemetery. Funeral procession will be departing from Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 New Warrington Road, Pensacola, Florida at 9:30 am.
