Being a Vietnam veteran, the ability to talk with someone that was there is hard to find sometimes. Dick and I found that we were comfortable enough with each other we could talk about some the the heck we were through, he was easy to talk to and became my friend quickly. His helicopter experience as the pilot and those like him were cherished and loved by us on the ground. They got us out of the area when needed as well as getting us where we needed to be and give us the support needed.

I will miss your smile, laugh and a stories.

Fly to heaven Dick. You’ve earned it.
