Mr. Deschambault resided in Pensacola since 1963 and retired from the US Navy, at the Naval Air Station, Pensacola as a Fire Inspector. While serving in the Navy, he served on several aircraft carriers and he was a veteran of WWII, Korean, and Vietnam War. Receiving the following medals: WWII Victory; Navy Occupation service (Europe); National Defense Service, Armed Forces Expeditionary for the Cuban blockade and the Congo conflict; Good Conduct with 4 clusters.
Bob was a life member of the Warrington Elks BPOE2108, and the American Legion Post 340 Pensacola. Survivors include daughter, Gail Harris; four grandchildren; Bill and Paula McGreevy, Jim and Paige McGreevy, Jr and Abby Harris, and Barbara Harris, seven great-grandchildren; Darren and Jenna McGreevy, James R and Meagan, and Tayler, Sarah and RJ Garrett, one brother, Raymond of Bedford, New Hampshire; one sister, Pauline of Connecticut; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.
A Visitation will be held from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm on Monday 26, 2020 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home.
The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 pm. Burial with full military honors will immediately follow at 1:00 pm at Barrancas National Cemetery- NAS Pensacola. Services will be officiated by grandson, Chaplain Glen Harris, Jr.
