

Robert H. Dixon, 74,of Pensacola, Florida, former head of the bond and surety department at Fisher-Brown Inc, died April 27, 2016. Robert was born in Kansas City, Missouri to William J. Dixon and Alma DeMoss Moore Dixon, moved to Beloit, Wisconsin where he attended catholic schools & college at St. Mary's. Robert enlisted in the Army his senior year to serve during the Viet Nam war. Stationed in Germany with an intelligence division, he studied the German and Vietnamese languages. Bob served as liaison officer in Viet Nam. Returning to Kansas City, he completed his degree at Rockhurst University in Kansas City and met his wife to be, Ann. Bob was a member of St. Ann's church in Gulf Breeze, and currently Holy Spirit, served as a board member of the American General Contractors Association as well as board member of Grande Lagoon homeowners association. Surviving are his wife, Ann; son, Christopher (Regina); daughter, Courtney (Dale); brother, Bill (Helen) of Wilmington, Del.; six grandchildren and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be from 5- 7 PM, May 3, 2016 at OAK LAWN FUNERAL HOME. Mass will be the following day on Wednesday at 11 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Committal ceremony will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery at 12:30 with military honors. In lieu of flowers, suggested memorial contributions be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or St. Joseph Clinic.
