Robert Bryan Glover, Jr.

1932 - 2010

On Monday, February 22, 2010, Robert (Bob) Bryan Glover, Jr. entered Heaven's Gates, while surrounded by his loving family at home.

Bob was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Mable Glover, and his two brothers, Jim Crook and Jack Glover.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Jeanette, and children, Steve (Tamie) Glover, Robert B Glover, III, Mike (Regina) Glover, Pat Glover, John (Kelley) Glover, Kathy (Rick) Cooper, Susan (Don) Schmidt, Angela Hubbard, his 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. His unfailing love for family was exceeded only by his desire to win others to God.

Bob Glover served combat in the Korean War as a PFC (3rd Marines 5th battalion 1st regiment). After graduating Kentucky Wesleyan College in 1957, Bob built a successful career in tax management, retiring from Monsanto (Pensacola). Active even in retirement, he was an invaluable resource in life's decisions for family and friends.

Bob lived his life for God, his family and his country. He was a hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed bee keeping, 'Friday Breakfast' with his sons, and gatherings with the "No Name Lunch Bunch." He was known through life as; son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandpa, great-grandpa, friend, and now "Good and Faithful Servant."

Everyone who knew Bob Glover was touched by his strength and endless generosity. Never without the guiding words of a mentor or the discipline of his Marine Corps service, Bob brought wisdom and truth to every conversation, always wanting the best for family and others. Bob's life of charitable giving and Christian Testimony has brought many individuals to Christ. The many people Bob has helped is extended to generations who will love and remember him forever. If faith has ever moved a mountain God has done so through the life of Bob Glover.
