

Robert G Turner, 82, of Cantonment, passed away Thursday, November 20th. Robert was born in Pensacola to Albert Carl Turner & Marseillette Adcock Hammac Turner in March of 1932. He grew up to join the Navy and marry his wife Helen. Together they raised three children Sons; Gregory & Steven Turner and a Daughter; Sheryl Sanderson.
Robert served in the Navy as an engineer and continued to apply his trade in Civil Service until retirement. A true nature lover he spent time hunting and fishing and loved to work with wood, many in the family still have pieces he crafted with love. With a voice for music he often led the song in church and he and Helen enjoyed singing in various groups throughout their marriage. Having grown up on his parent’s farm, Robert developed a love of gardening and often spent time cultivating the vegetable garden.
He is predeceased in death by his wife Helen who passed away in 2007 and is survived by his loving family Sons; Gregory (Tony) Turner, Steven (Melissa) Turner, & Sheryl (Steve) Sanderson, 8 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. He was love by all who knew him and will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
Visitation to be Tuesday, November 25,2014 from 12:30-2:00pm with Funeral Service at 2:00pm at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home. Burial to follow with Military Honors at Eastern Gate Memorial Park in Pensacola.
