Such a shock to see this over a month later. Roy told me he gave my number to his cousin and she would call if anything happened. It is a terrible way to find out why he hasn't been answering his phone! My heart is heavy but Roy, Im glad you are with Bev again! I love you both and will see you again someday! Love, your other wife...lol...Karen

My dearest Uncle Roy, you will be missed dearly and remembered fondly. My heart is consoled in knowing that you will now be reunited with dear Aunt Bev and you two will laugh and smile for eternity together. The love you shared not only with each other by the loved ones you leave behind is that to be cherished and I will cherish our times together in Jersey, Cedar Key and Chiefland. I know you lived your life to laugh and love and I know you will laugh and love through eternity and look to the day we will see each other again. You were a special person and I thank you for the love you gave unconditionally to all of us. I will miss your humor, your stories and everything about you. Rest well my dear Uncle Roy and until we meet again…… <3

Dear Roy,
You always liked to be thought of as the 'Possum' like your idol, George Jones. But, this is one time when you won't be able to pop up with a twinkle in your eye. We sure will miss your jokes and stories, Roy. Though somehow I suspect that they will continue to be told for years to come.
You were a good man and we will miss you. As I write this, George Jones is singing his songs and I feel you peeking over my shoulder and smiling. I am smiling, too.
We are having a Celebration of Your Life at 10 AM on Tuesday, May 27th in the Oak Lawn Funeral Home's Chapel. Just listen for that pure country voice of the original 'Possum' so you'll know where to hang out...we'll save a place for you.
I always loved you, Roy...even after the "Igloo" incident. And I was so very proud of all your accomplishments. From one "favorite cousin" to another, be at peace and know that you lived your life well and were of comfort to others. I know the Lord is saving a place for you for all the stars in your crown.
Love from both of us...always!
