Ruth Burnette

Ruth Burnette age 84 a lifelong resident of Pensacola, FL passed away on Sept. 26, 2013. She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Ruth was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church. She was a Red Cross Volunteer at the Naval Hospital in Pensacola, Myrtle Grove Women’s Club and very active in her church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Roy Burnette, infant son Ronnie; brother, Joe Winstel. She is survived by two sons, Tom Burnette of Panama City , Jimmy (Yvonne) Burnette of Pensacola; three daughters, Susan (Steve) Long of Huntsville, Al, Jan (Rick) Fuller of Pensacola, Elaine (Bryan) Mead of Daphne, Al; five grandchildren, Emily, Matthew, Sarah, Jonathan and Zachary. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Michaels Burse Club or American Cancer Society. Visitation will be on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. The funeral will be on Monday, Sept. 30, 2013 at 10:00 am at St. Michaels Catholic Church with burial to follow at Barrancas National Cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.oaklawnfunerals.com.
