1935-2022
Sally Ann Horne, 87, of Cantonment, Florida passed away on December 7, 2022. She was born in Pensacola, Florida on January 14, 1935 to the late T J Rawls and Willie Mae Rawls. She was married to James Leslie Horne Jr (Junior) for 36 years until his death in 1993. Sally started working at Morrison’s Cafeteria in 1956 as a relief meat cutter and retired 50 years later as an Associate Manager. Christmas was her favorite time of year and she made sure that her home was decorated to the fullest. She loved to cook and we all looked forward to that big pot of gumbo on the stove during the holidays. Sally was preceded in death by her husband Junior Horne and her son Dwayne Horne (Connie). She was survived by her son Doug Horne, her daughter Terri Smith (Charlie) and her granddaughter Rachel Smith. A special thanks to the staff at Azalea Trace Nursing Home where Sally was a long-time resident for dementia care. A Memorial Service will be held on December 27, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Nine Mile Road in Cantonment, Florida.
