Sally Ann Mullek was born November 24, 1935 in Pensacola, Florida to Ann Mullek and John G. Mullek. She lived in Elberta, Alabama and later moved to Pensacola, Florida in 1947.
She attended Pensacola High School. She married her soul mate Walter Frederick Katona on December 19, 1953. She was a Navy wife for 23 years and traveled the world and the United States extensively. She is a member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church.

Brother, Paul (Geisla) Mullek, of Huntsville, Alabama, Son, Timothy Dale (Kimberly) Katona of Silverdale Washington, Son, Ronald Mark Katona of Pensacola, Florida, Daughter, Rhonda Elaine (Terry) Freeman of Pensacola, Florida, Daughter, Rebecca Lynn Katona of Pensacola, Florida.
Her grandchildren include:
Sarah (Ben) Clark, Timothy Katona Jr., Nicolas Katona, Audrey (Andrew) Seepe, Raymond (Darby) Freeman, Jessica Alvarado

A visitation for Sally will be held Friday, May 6, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, 1985 West Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, FL 32534. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM, with a committal service at 2:00 PM at Barrancas National Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Road, Pensacola, FL 32508.
Sally will be laid to rest in Barrancas National Cemetery.
