1988-2018
Samantha was born November 14, 1988 at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. She passed away due to head trauma at Sacred Heart Hospital June 22, 2018. She was 29 years old.
Samantha was a beautiful soul who loved to make people laugh. She was a mother to her handsome son, Caleb Price, who was her bright and shooting star. She was an avid pool player and loved to write poetry. Samantha loved to cook and would use music as her outlet. She loved her family and could often be found at the beach or the river with her sister. She was beginning anew with incredible strength and will. She had attended church and had a spiritual awakening. She was determined. Her light was shining brightly. Her son, nieces and nephews adored her quirky, witty and ever playful bullying. She was loved and will be missed by many.
She is survived by her mother, Amanda Rhea Johnson; father, Donald Tyray Ward; her only child, Caleb Robert Price, 7 years old; her little sister, Kasi Lee Ward; step-brother Chris Selbo; nephews Bradley Ray, 20 months and Brayden Ryan (Samantha’s namesake, due in August); and step-mother, Angela Ward; grandmothers: Rebecca Burns and Rebecca Ward; grandfather W.R. Johnson and grandmother Opal Johnson; aunts: Kellie Ward, Kimberly Johnson, and Tanja Johnson and uncle Chris Johnson.
Friends are cordially invited to join the family for a visitation on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, immediately followed by a service.
The family requests that donations be made to the Favor House of Pensacola to help battered women.
