Sara Garner Fiveash was born March 5, 1932, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, at home in Delray Beach, Florida. Sara was born and raised in Hogansville, Ga, where she graduated high school and moved to Atlanta to go to work as a telephone operator. It was there she met her future husband who was studying architecture at Georgia Tech. After moving to Pensacola and getting married they started a family. She worked in real estate until her husband retired and then she managed their real estate investments until they liquidated the properties and retired.
Known for her ready smile, and always having a word of advice, Sara was the heart and head of her family. She lived a full and joyful life, guiding generations with her wisdom, humor, and unwavering love.
She is survived by her daughter, Penni Evans (husband Dennis), and son Randy Fiveash (wife Cinda); seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, James B. Fiveash Jr., her son Thomas Gary Fiveash, and her grandson Jason Scott Fiveash.
Sara’s legacy of love, laughter, and family will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know her.
