Today, we must say a tender and faith-filled farewell to Sara, her children's loving mother who endured and gave so much of herself and her assistance to her children, grandchildren, sisters, friends and the homeless in the community. She was a member of Liberty Church Blue Angel Pensacola Campus and loved the church so much. She was a fierce American Patriot and proud American who often served as counselor, friend and mentor to the young military men and women sailors who were far from home. She cared not only for her family and friends, but used much of her 83 years to make a tremendous earthly impact on her community. She personally sponsored many fundraisers for the Pensacola Fire Department securing Jaws of Life, Northwest Crippled Children's Association and others throughout her career. She was known as an honest and wise business woman, a fun loving music and photo enthusiast, and an outgoing and adventurous spirit. She loved to travel, was always smiling and joyful, was very forgiving and intelligent, proud of her southern heritage, was the best and fastest cook, knew how to make a house a home, took care of stray cats, loved her dogs and left behind her baby Honeygurl. She always had wit and humor to spare! She was one of a kind. She was a survivor.
She is loved and respected by many and she blessed those who crossed her path. Her message to those who knew her was always genuine, honest, and encouraging. She leaves behind her dear friend of many years, Diana Bailey and her all-female band "UltraViolet," along with a multitude of friends throughout the United States and abroad. Of worthy mention is the love and closeness she had with her niece Midge Botkins-Price and her husband Larry who were of great support to her. She grew deeply in love with Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior and it permeated towards her children in words that can't be described. You just knew and felt the deep love she had for her children, family and friends. It was her heart's desire to have all six of her children together with her before she departed this world.
Those who loved her will miss her deeply. But she left a permanent imprint on our hearts that will comfort those left behind. She has picked up her reservation in heaven, received her reward, and now breaths effortlessly in heaven's atmosphere. Best of all, she gets to see Jesus forever and has been reunited with loved ones. For this, we celebrate her legacy and life. Until we meet again, beautiful and precious mother and friend.
