Sophie E. Herring Blanton of Pensacola, FL, passed away July 10, 2014. Sophie was a lifelong resident of Pensacola and retired from the Escambia County School District.Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Adrian E. Blanton; daughter, Paula; her sons, Andy (Sharon), Gene (Karen) and Troy (Bonnie); 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; sister, Debbie; brothers, Ronnie (Carolyn) and Frank.Funeral services will be Sunday, July 13, 2014 at 4 PM at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Tommy Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 PM until the service hour.
