Pete was predeceased by his parents, Robert Steven and Lois Thompson Chesser, his sister Patricia Lois Chesser Williamson and his wife Jauretta Chesser.   Pete was a military brat, attended high school in Tokyo and graduated from Choctawahatchee High School.   After serving in the Air Force he attended McNeese State College, Lake Charles, La., where he was elected president of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.   He is survived by his children  Robert Jeffrey Chesser, Derek Scott Chesser, Timothy Paul Chesser, Joseph Allen Chesser, Steven William Chesser, Patrick Andrew Chesser, Ann Elizabeth (Betsy) Chesser all of Tampa, FL, Samantha Chesser Ramsay and Steven Peter Chesser, Jr. of Gulf Breeze, FL.
