Steven Ray Thorsen

Steve Thorsen, age 58, of Pensacola passed away on January 10th, 2017. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pensacola, and lived in a Capstone (UCP) Group home and attended the (UCP) center for over fifty years. Survivors include his father and step-mother, Neil and Barbara, his mother Vivian Cook, brother, Terry (Resa), (step-brother), Chris Girouard, niece Summer (Josh) Strong, nephew Shelby (Ashley) Thorsen. Three grand nephews and two grand nieces. The family wishes to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to the Capstone Staff (past and present) for the many years of love and dedication they have shown to Steve and his family. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at First Baptist Church of Pensacola. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 AM following the visitation. Graveside service will be held at the St Johns Cemetery. Dr. Barry Howard will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Capstone (formally United Cerebral of Northwest FL).

Pallbearers will be David Harrison, Doug Franklin, Robert Smith, Ken Richmond, Andre McElory, and Danny Contreras. Oak Lawn Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
