

Born on August 14th, 1947, in Nashville TN, he and his family moved to Pensacola in the early 1960’s. He graduated from Pensacola High School in 1966 and later moved to Jacksonville, FL in the early 1980’s where he lived for 40 years until he moved back to Pensacola in 2020 to be closer to family. Tom proudly served the Army National guard for many years, and for more than 30 years he worked in Sales and Merchandise for Sears, primarily as a contract salesman. Those who knew him, knew his love for Florida State Sports, especially FSU Football. He happily served with the Apartment council of Jacksonville in numerous charitable endeavors throughout multiple decades, and he enjoyed spending time with friends at his local Moose lodge.
Tom is survived by two sons, Blake (Jennifer) of Pensacola, and Miles of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Lauren; sister, Alice (Charlie) Marus ; his sibling’s spouses, Brenda McConkey and Jeff Roth; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Laverne McConkey and his siblings, Bob McConkey and Joy Roth.
A visitation will be held at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, located at 3351 Scenic Highway, Pensacola, Florida, 32503, on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 9:00am to 10:00am. The funeral service will follow at the same location, beginning at 10:00am on the same day.
Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
