Timothy J. Carrick, 65 years old, breathed his last breath on earth and his first breath in Heaven on November 23, 2018 where he met Jesus his Savior and many of his relatives who were waiting for him.
Tim was born in Lexington, NC on October 18, 1953. Both of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Carrick and Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Blackburn; father, J. Calvin Carrick; uncle, Jack Blackburn; aunt, Audrey B. Cox and all of his paternal aunts and uncles preceded him in death.
He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Blackburn Carrick; his aunt Nancy Blackburn; a number of cousins and a host of friends.
Tim moved to Pensacola in 1963 where he attended schools and enjoyed living in Pensacola. He loved the Lord and people. He never met a stranger. Tim served in the U.S. Army. He was a kind and loving man and he will be greatly missed.
Contributions may be made to the First Assembly of God Church where he had attended.
I would like to offer many thanks to Baptist Hospital, the EMT’s and the firefighters who attended my son with great care.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with Rev. David Scruggs, Rev. Glen Vaughn and Rev. Sylvia Tisdale officiating.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Wednesday.
