Timothy A. Harrelson

1971--2011

Timothy Allen Harrelson of Pensacola, Florida was born January 10, 1971. He died July 5, 2011 at 40 years of age. He is survived by his mother Judith Bates Sasser and stepfather Robert Joel Sasser of Pensacola, Florida and his father James Michael Harrelson of Phoenix, Arizona and his brother James Michael Conan Harrelson of Phoenix, Arizona and maternal grandfather George Wade Bates of Birmingham, Alabama. He left behind his loving wife Buffy, daughters Danielle Christine, 16, Alexis Marie, 13, Kaitlynn Gabrielle Johnson, 16, and son Todd Nicholas Harrelson, 5.

Tim was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He moved to Pensacola in 1984 and was an honor graduate of Washington High. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Saratoga during Dessert Storm. Tim was a wonderful husband, father, and son. He had an infectious smile and humorous way that attracted a large circle of friends.

He got his first motorcycle at 8 years of age, and started racing BMX bikes at 10. Tim loved going fast, whether it was his motorcycle at Talladega Grand Prix Raceway or dirt bikes in the woods. He enjoyed boats, fishing, and just being on the water. After a brief illness he was taken from us too soon and he will be missed.

Visitation will be held at Oaklawn Funeral Home on Friday July 8, 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m.. Graveside services will be held at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens at 2:00 p.m..

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
