Tim was born to parents Charles and Wanda Smith on August 16, 1960 in Amarillo, Texas. He grew up as the youngest of four and attended Park Hills High School in Fairborn, Ohio and graduated from Greene Joint Vocational. In 2003, he married his high school sweetheart, Teresa, after reuniting 20 years later.
Timothy had six children. In 1981, he joined the Navy, and later finished out his career as an Aircraft Mechanic. Tim had a great love for airplanes, airshows and the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola. He was a big family man and loved his family deeply.
Tim is survived by his wife, Teresa Smith; children, Andy McCaslin(Jessica), Heather Chaffin (Bryan), James Daniels, Lyndon Smith, Nalina Porter, and Tina Platon (James); 15 grandchildren, Isaac, Aiden, Emma, Owen, Zoey, Charlotte, Toby, Chloe, Kayla, Jordynn, Taylor, Peyton, Andi, Morgan and Sawyer; sister, Mary Campbell; brother Stacy Smith; nephews, Jack Campbell, Michael Campbell, and Steven Campbell.
He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Smith; mother, Wanda Smith; brother, Ted Smith and grandchildren Landon and Arabella.
The family would like to convey a special gratitude for the care that Tim received from Baptist Hospital(Pensacola) ICU physicians and nursing staff prior to his passing. Also, a special thank you to his family physician, Dr. Long, Sacred Heart Medical Group.
In lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House charities of northwest Florida.
