

William E Brown, "Earl" 73, of Pensacola, FL, formerly of Banks, AL went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 31, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born to the late William Edge and Viola (nee: Richardson) Brown on December 1, 1941 in Troy, Alabama. Earl loved growing up on the farm in Banks, and he met his bride, Mary Jo Dobbs Brown while in high school. Earl worked Monsanto, Sloutia 30 years, coached boys baseball and girls softball for years at Warrington Ball Park. After retiring from Monsanto he so loved greyhounds he owned his own greyhound kennel for 12 years. He enjoyed college football and a huge Alabama Fan, an avid golf player and played on the Monsanto golf team. Earl loved living on the water and to take in one of his favorite pass times, mullet fishing and loved living fishing in the Pleasant Grove area. Earl loved his family, family reunions and being back at the Bank with Bruce and Bobby's fish fry’s!!! He enjoyed Western movies or shows on TV, and loved telling his own stories when he was young and how he met his bride Mary Jo.
He is survived by his loving children, sons, William Earl (Christy) Brown, Jr., Stephen (Nancy) Brown, and Rance Brown; daughters, Debbie Brown (Jeff) Brenner, Kim (Mark) Hyde, and Alice (BJ) Hendricks; eighteen grandchildren, Ricky and Rachel Harper, Jeffrey Spear, Brittney Joe and Stone Brown, Janelle Brown, Maeghan Smith, Mandy Heider, Troy, Jerry, Nick and Hayley Brown, Jazmyn, Jeremy and Gage Brown, Jacob Delmonico, and Laura Hendricks; seven great grandchildren, Mason and Drake Harper, Kamron and Casey King, Jessalyn Wood, Eli Hendricks, and Jacob Delmonico II; Earl is preceded in death by his parents, his beautiful bride of 46 years, Mary Jo Brown, son, Joseph Alexander Brown and sister Patricia Ann Wood.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 New Warrington Road, Pensacola, Services and his Celebration of his life will be at 1:30 PM, his funeral procession to his final rest for burial at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens, 1985 West Nine Mile Road, Pensacola.
